Caimito Fruit
Scientific name - Chrysophyllum cainito
Caimito is native to Central America and the West Indies. The fruit typically measures from 2 to 3 inches in diameter possessing a globose structure. When cut half, a star like resemblance is found inside the fruit. The pulp is soft, sweet and very juicy in nature and can be processed to jam, jellies, juices, marmalades, ice cream and flavors.
