Carambola Fruit
Scientific name - Averrhoa carambola
Carambola otherwise known as starfruit, is the native species of Southeast Asian regions. As the name suggests, the fruit appears in star shape when it is cut along the cross section. As the fruit is edible and juicy, it is widely used in cooking and also for making relishes, preserves, and juice drinks. The taste varies from sour to sweet.
