ASIAN PEAR

Pear fruitAsian pears are related to pears and also similar to an apple fruit that it reflect some of its characteristic. This fruit can also be spelled as Chinese pear, Japanese pear, Sand, Nashi, and apple pear.

Asian pears are usually round in shape and are firm to touch when they get ripen. This fruit reaches prime quality when they ripen on the tree, as like an apple and peach. This kind of pear will be crisp, juicy, and slightly sweet with some tartness, especially near the core.

The European pears have the bulbous bottoms and they are not ready to eat until they are slightly soft and must be picked during the green stage and ripen at room temperature.There are several Asian pear varieties available. Japanese pears are more round in shape, while the Chinese pears are more oval in shape.

In the United States the Asian pear is the more popular in 20th century. It is round in shape and smooth yellow skin.Store Asian pears a week at room temperature or up to three months in the refrigerator.
