Ingredients
- 1 cup of softened butter
- 1 ¼ cups of packed brown sugar
- ½ cup of white sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 tablespoons of milk
- 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract
- 1 ¾ cups of all purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon of salt
- 3 cups of rolled oats
- 2 cups of semisweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup of chopped walnuts
- 1 cup of shredded coconut
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F which is about 190 degree C.
- In a large bowl, mix together the butter, brown sugar and white sugar until it becomes smooth
- Beat the eggs one at a time and then stir in the milk and vanilla in it
- Combine the flour, salt and baking soda into the sugar mixture and stir well until it gets properly blended.
- Stir in oats, chocolate chips, walnuts and coconut until it is evenly distributed in the mixture
- Place it in a round shaped cookie sheet and bake it for up to 10 to 12 minutes in a preheated oven for about 14 minutes.
- Allow it to cool it down for a minute and remove it from the wire rack.
- Now completely cool it and then store it in a tightly sealed container.
This recipe can make 5 dozen of oatmeal chips and it can be prepared within few minutes but its cooking time may be a little longer.
