Ingredients
- 2 baked and cooled pie crusts
- 1 large sliced banana
- 2/3 cup of sugar
- 1/3 cup of cornstarch
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt
- 4 egg yolks
- 3 cups of milk
- 2 tablespoons of butter or 2 tablespoons of softened margarine
- 1 tablespoon of vanilla extract
- 2 cups of Hershey’s special dark chocolate chips
- 2 cups of whipping cream
- 1 box of instant banana pudding mix
Instructions
- Place the banana slices in bottom of the cooled baked pie shell and stir together sugar, cornstarch and salt in a separate measuring cup.
- Combine milk and egg yolks and add it to the dry ingredients and cook in micro until the mixture thickens and comes to a boil.
- Microwave it for another 1 minute and remove it and whisk in butter and vanilla.
- Add some chocolate chips to it and stir it until it gets well mixed and blended together and pour it into prepared pie shell over bananas.
- Allow it to cool down for some time and meanwhile whip cream and pudding for 1- 3 minutes and spread on the top of the chocolate filling.
- Refrigerate for several hours before severing for best quality.
